Harvard Business School Online's annual Connext conference will be held virtually on Friday, May 7, 2021. This year’s event will feature a full day of programming surrounding the theme “Navigating the Digital Frontier.”

Debora Spar is the Senior Associate Dean of Harvard Business School Online and the MBA Class of 1952 Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School where she teaches the first-year Strategy course. Her current research focuses on issues of gender and technology, and the interplay between technological change and broader social structures. Spar tackles some of these issues in her forthcoming book, "Work Mate Marry Love: How Machines Shape Our Human Destiny."

Her work focuses on how leaders can scale their organizations by developing and implementing global and digital strategies. She regularly advises top leaders who are embarking on virtual work and large scale-change that involves global expansion, digital transformation, and becoming more agile. Her forthcoming book, "Remote Work Revolution: Succeeding from Anywhere," provides remote workers and leaders with the best practices necessary to perform at the highest levels in their organizations.

Forest Reinhardt is the John D. Black Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and teaches HBS Online's Global Business course. He's the head of the Business, Government, and the International Economy Unit, and serves as faculty chair of the School’s Asia-Pacific Research Center and chair of HBS Executive Education in the Asia-Pacific Region. Reinhardt is the author of Down to Earth: Applying Business Principles to Environmental Management, which analyzes problems of environmental and natural resource management.
Rebecca Henderson

Rebecca Henderson is the John and Natty McArthur University Professor at Harvard University, where she has a joint appointment at Harvard Business School in the General Management and Strategy units. She is a research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and serves as co-chair of the Harvard University Climate Change Task Force, as well as on the board of several public companies. She teaches HBS Online's Sustainable Business Strategy course, and her Reimagining Capitalism course is one of the most popular electives in the Harvard Business School MBA Program.
Michael Wheeler

Michael Wheeler has taught Negotiation in Harvard Business School’s MBA program since 1993 and served as faculty chair of the required first-year MBA program. He teaches HBS Online's Negotiation Mastery course and is the author of 11 books, the most recent of which is The Art of Negotiation: How to Improvise Agreement in a Chaotic World. He has long been an innovator in using the latest technology to teach negotiation and recently launched a self-assessment app, called Negotiation360.
Yael Grushka-Cockayne

Yael Grushka-Cockayne is the Altec Styslinger Foundation Bicentennial Chair in Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean for Professional Degree Programs at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and was formerly a Visiting Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and Professor of Business Administration. She teaches HBS Online's Data Science for Business course. Her research and teaching activities focus on data science, forecasting, project management, and behavioral decision-making. Her research is published in numerous academic and professional journals, and she is a regular speaker at international conferences in the areas of decision analysis, project management, and management science. In 2014, Grushka-Cockayne was named one of "21 Thought-Leader Professors" in Data Science.
Sunil Gupta

Sunil Gupta is the Edward W. Carter Professor of Business Administration and co-chair of the executive program on Driving Digital Strategy at Harvard Business School. He served as the head of the Marketing Unit from 2008-2013 and was the Chair of the General Management Program from 2013-2019. Gupta's current research is in the area of digital technology and its impact on consumer behavior and firm strategy. The primary goal of his research is to understand how digital technology is disrupting existing industries and how incumbents should transform their businesses in this new environment. His book on this topic, "Driving Digital Strategy," was published by Harvard Business Review Press in August 2018.

Tina Guo
Grammy- and Brit-nominated musician Tina Guo has established an international career as a virtuoso acoustic/electric cellist, composer, and entrepreneur. One of the most recorded solo cellists of all time, she can be heard on hundreds of blockbuster films, television, and game soundtracks. Tina recently completed work on the films "Dune" and "Top Gun: Maverick," and has just finished a tour with composer Hans Zimmer.
